Sanctuary Bay in Grand Bahama was born out of a desire to foster meaningful connections between humans and dolphins in a natural, respectful way. Unlike traditional marine parks, the dolphins live in ocean enclosures that mirror their natural habitat, allowing them to retain their natural instincts, like echolocation and hunting. The Sanctuary Bay experience is designed to inspire a deeper understanding of marine life and the vital importance of protecting ocean ecosystems.

01 SIGNATURE WHISTLES
Each dolphin has a unique whistle that acts like a "name." They use these whistles to identify themselves and communicate with other dolphins.
02 ECHOLOCATION
They "see" with sound! Dolphins emit sound waves that bounce off objects and return, allowing them to map their surroundings in detail, even in the dark.
A Bottlenose Dolphin can jump up to a height of 6 meters (20 feet) in the air!
